Directions: Head for the city centre, we are 100yds down from Marks & Spencers on the left hand side. Go up the ramp immediately after Halifax Building Society; go past Jorvik Cafe and our front doors are next to The Job Centre. If you reach Fibbers, you’ve gone too far down the road. How do we know this? ‘Cos The Duchess is run by exactly the same team who founded and brought you sixteen years of great gigs at Fibbers – so now you know that The Duchess is REALLY good!.
Public Transport: There are no buses from the station and we do not recommend walking if you are unfamiliar with the city centre. A taxi from the station will cost about £4 and it's better than getting lost in a maze of small streets.
Venue Box Office Information: Mon to Sat 10.30am – 4pm or 7.30pm to close
Box Office Collections/Venue pickup: Tickets booked in advance for collection can only be picked up on the day of the event after the doors open at 7.30pm. Please don't forget the original credit card used and /or the booking confirmation code given as proof of purchase.
General Policies: No food/drink offensive weapons. We operate zero tolerance to drugs and threatening behaviour. For Health & Safety reasons we do not allow overtly aggressive slam dancing/windmilling etc – be respectful to each other!
Age Restrictions: 14s must be accompanied by an 18+ adult. No passouts for under 18s. ID is essential for purchasing alcohol. Full details are available on our website theduchessyork.co.uk - NO ID = NO ENTRY!
Wheelchair Access: Ramp at rear of venue; where possible please give advance notice so we can help as much as possible.
