Brian Wright was born to a traveling world. Originally from East Texas, he moved around with his parents in a Volkswagen van: Wyoming, Utah, Alaska and other destinations. His father, a Vietnam veteran, was a chaser of dreams. The Wrights eventually returned to Lorena, Texas, outside of Waco. His mother became a nurse who broke horses, while his father broke the law robbing banks and went to prison.
