In the beginning there was nothing, until we learned how to paint pictures in caves. We then discovered that everyone was entitled to know what was going on and 'News' was born. From this comedy was created as some journalists suddenly became comedians. Their news reports became entertaining and they suddenly found that printing the truth was now as exciting as spinning and rearranging the truth for entertainment value. Others, who didn't want to write jokes for purposes of selling newspapers opted for a route in Stand up comedy, take Fredrik Andersson and Tobias Persson for example who have now taken their unique style of comedy to the UK. Both of these pioneers of comedy butcher through the slanted news and phone hacking scandals we've been fed and provide you with new, fresh and innovative comedy food, not the custard pie kind, far away from the unfunny tabloid press.
Fredrik Andersson is better known on the Swedish Comedy club circuit and writing & performing comedy for TV such as the Swedish version of Balls of Steel. Since last October Fredrik has been living amongst us in London and plans to be as successful on the British comedy scene as he is in Sweden. Since arriving he has debuted at all the major London clubs, featured in the Edinburgh Fringe show 'The Stockholm Syndrome' and recently performed at the Leicester Comedy Festival show 'Is This England?.
Tobias Persson only three years ago won Sweden's best Comedian, has already played all the major UK clubs including The Comedy Store, The Glee club, Jongleurs and Comedy cafe, as well as performing on "Political Animal" and his first Edinburgh show in 2010 called "Call me old fascist". And returning this year with his 2011 show, Sitting on a Cornflake. Tobias has been writing and performing since his early years- with no other ambition than just wanting to make people laugh.

Tiernan Douieb : Tiernan Douieb Vs The World Diminutive stand-up Tiernan Douieb takes his comedy in a brave new direction. For 30 years, Tiernan has blissfully ignored politics. Incredulous at the state of the world around him, he now finds himself on a steep political learning curve as he tackles everything from the coalition and the cuts to the burka and the Middle East. But plagued by the arguments and injustices he encounters, he wonders if ignorance might be bliss after all.
He has supported Jim Jefferies, Russell Howard and worked as warm up for Mark Watson’s We Needs Answers and Dick and Dom’s Funny Business and, in 2009, invented and ran the world’s first ever Twitter Comedy Club with an estimated 14,000 viewers.
