Event information

Irvine, in North Ayrshire, Scotland is home to around 39,527 people. 5 of those: PJ, Sean, Greg, Ross and Calum make up prog rock, chest-beating off-kilter five-piece Culann.

The bands journey has seen them play The Barrowlands, King Tuts 13 times, The Wickerman Festival,The Tiree Music Festival, GoNorth & Celtic Park, home of Celtic Football Club to name a few. Winners of 'Best Rock' at 2013's SAMA (Scottish Alternative Music Awards),

Culann have been mastering their craft for a period of years and have been building up a loyal fan base that adores every note the band plays back to them. Media outlets have been keen to get their hands on the band with a front page feature in The Sun's entertainment section and being selected for the prestigious track of the week on Jim Gellatly's XFM show just a few of the many accolades adorned on the band.

A blend of folk, celtic-rock, alt, prog and even a bit of reggae this one time, Culann are in their element live and create a unique experience at every live show. They have performed the length and breadth of their homeland gathering adoring fans along the way. Never fearing to go and do their own thing, a six minute song is no issue whatsoever. The norms of traditional song writing are largely abandoned with complex breaks, time changes and a perfect fusion of a traditional Scottish sound with contemporary lyrical approach.

No effort is made to fit the mould of what is out there at the moment, quite the opposite. Every effort is made to create something raw, honest, heartfelt and emotive in every track, a fact not lost on their fans who have been joining the band's journey from the early E.P's to their debut album released in 2012.

At every show, they snap up tickets immediately, buy the merchandise and sing their hearts out as close to the stage as they can get. Every penny the band makes goes straight back into the music to create something new to share with the masses; a true fan's band.

Plus support from The Cliftons & Sibling Sons.
