A proud homecoming Brickyard show for Colt 45 to celebrate the release of their debut album, 'The Tide Is Turning' on Visible Noise following Download Festival and Kendal Calling appearances. It’s been one hell of a year for Colt 45. The melodic punks from Cumbria signed to Visible Noise last summer, hours before a surprise headline slot at Cockrock Festival, following the departure of rapper Wiley just 15 minutes in to his set. Since then, constant touring, including supports to Blitz Kids, Lower Than Atlantis, The Computers and Young Guns set them up nicely to hit the studio in February 2014 with go-to UK rock producer Romesh Dodangoda (Kids In Glass Houses, Funeral For A Friend, Twin Atlantic, Motorhead) to track debut album 'The Tide Is Turning', scheduled for release on 28th July. "Hook-filled, heavily charged melodic punk” - Punktastic “Anthemic street rock that’s urgent of pace, melodic of chorus, and as tight as Tommy Lee’s cockring.” - Classic Rock “A trio of pissed off punks from Cumbria with some bloody big tunes.” - Kerrang! "One of the UK’s best kept secrets, but not for long...” - Big Cheese Support comes from Electric River described by Big Cheese magazine as 'The result of youthful energy and a healthy list of influences that culminate in all round catchy as hell numbers, fused with heavy handed melodies and social commentary. Bags of passion and heaps of power.' The Hostiles will be bringing their upbeat energy of west coast US ska punk to the line-up via the less-sunny climes of west coast Scotland. Their take is spirited and infectious, combining distorted guitars riffs, low-slung rhythms, in-your-face vocals and a two-pronged brass backbone of trumpet and trombone. It’s a formula that’s helped the five-piece build a strong reputation on the live circuit as an act to be reckoned with, good times guaranteed. . Starting proceedings off will be newly formed Cumbrian trio Youth Salute formerly known as With Lights Out.
