BARCODED SECURITY TICKETS
These tickets feature a barcode that is unique to each ticket. This barcode will be scanned on entry to the festival to ensure you have a genuine ticket. Each barcode will only allow entry for one person. Please do not buy tickets from unauthorized outlets, as these tickets are liable to be fakes with duplicated barcodes that will not gain you entry to the festival.
Thurs 4th Sept: The car park will open from 9am. The box offices & campsites will open at midday.
Fri/Sat/Sun: Car park & box offices open at 9am.
Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun: No entry into the site after midnight on any night!
Mon 8th Sept: Campsites close at 4pm and car parks close at 6pm.
PLEASE NOTE: allow plenty of time for onward journeys as we're on an island and there are many of us trying to get away from the site, and off the island at a similar time.
GETTING IN TO BESTIVAL
There will be queues to get in but you can help us get you into the festival more quickly by having your ticket and ID ready before you get to the gate, by decanting any glass bottles in good time before you arrive at the gate and by not bringing any of the non-permitted items as follows.

Alcohol cannot be brought into the main site from the campsite. There are fully licensed bars with cold drinks available for you.
PLEASE KEEP BESTIVAL TIDY
Minimise Packaging - Please unpack all unnecessary cardboard and plastic around crates of beer / airbeds / tents before you leave home and avoid bringing plastic carrier bags with you.
Pick up your waste and bin it - Please respect the beautiful land you are staying on and help us keep the Bestival site clean and tidy all weekend long by throwing your rubbish into the bins provided. Please do your bit!
Recycle - Please put all cans and plastic bottles in the recycle bins.
KEEP YOURSELF & YOUR BELONGINGS SAFE
Bestival is a very safe place to be, but the following standard festival advice is worth taking in none-the-less… better safe than sorry!
Be aware of your surroundings; remember that you are safer in a group. If you see anyone being aggressive to someone, let security know immediately - we don't want people like this at Bestival.
Look after your belongings - make sure you keep your mobile, iPod and wallet/ purse safe and out of sight. Do not leave valuable items on display in your car. Use the locker services available on-site - http://www.chargeandstore.com
When you go to sleep make sure all your valuables/wallet/cash etc are at the top of the tent next to your head and not left near the tent flap
Don't leave your drink unattended - even soft drinks can be spiked. Remember, alcohol or drugs can affect your ability to make safe judgments. Drink in moderation to ensure you remain alert and aware of your surroundings.
Make friends with your neighbours. Organise a meeting point with your friends where you will be three times a day in case you get split up. We have mobile masts but sometimes messages are delayed in getting through.
If you see anything that concerns you or if you see anyone acting suspiciously please speak to the nearest police officer, security or steward - help us make Bestival safer and a more pleasant place to be.

Isle of Wight bus company Southern Vectis will operate all their other regular island routes, with buses passing the Bestival site able to drop off / pick up at the Bestival Shuttle Bus Station.
More info on Southern Vectis bus routes and fares can be found at www.islandbuses.info
For journeys outside bus hours, you will need to book a taxi or arrange a lift home.
